Strawberry Sorbet

This is an old standby recipe I've enjoyed for many years. When off protocol I'll add banana or fresh pineapple, but it's just as good without. The kids love this one, too!

  • Allotted amount of strawberries
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • sugar substitute (as needed)
  • water (if needed)

    1. Freeze fresh strawberries about 1 hour.
    2. Blend fresh frozen strawberries, lemon juice & sugar substitute in blender until very well blended.
    3. You can serve immediately or place in freezer to allow it to firm up even further.

TIP: If you don't want to wait, you can always use your fresh strawberries without freezing them and simply add ice & any water needed.

    Hi Renee,

Question: Do you use stevia as your sweetener?
By the way, I'm on my third day of making that Tomato Soup. It is soooo good.

    Thanks,
    Kim

    Hi Kim!

I'm so glad you enjoy the soup! Feel free to rate (with the number of stars below the post) any recipes you like/dislike! I love getting feedback!

I almost always use Zsweet or Organic Zero for sweetener. They are both much easier to prepare meals with and leave no aftertaste. If I do use Stevia, it's only the flavored ones for my coffee or frapuccinos.

Hope that helps! Thanks for the comments!

Great idea! Had similar last night but didn't think of FREEZING the berries, that's awesome! Thus less ice, thus more concentrated flavor.

Tonight frozen berries, PLUS 1 cup of cooled down strawberry herbal tea instead of water (yet more concentrated flavor) Then I'm adding the vanilla creme stevia to sweeten. I CAN'T WAIT!

Simply outstanding. I used granulated stevia, 5 ounces of strawberries, 1/2 lemon, and a mint sprig. Took about 1 minute to put together. There was no aftertaste at all--beautiful lemony strawberry creaminess. I will serve this to guests.
